Inspiring the Future of CSR: A Proud Moment for SAS Foundation

🌟 Shaping the Future of CSR: SAS Foundation at PRERNA ’24, FORE School of Management

At the heart of every social movement lies the power of ideas — bold, creative, and driven by purpose. That spirit was on full display at PRERNA ’24, the much-anticipated CSR Case Study Competition hosted by the FORE School of Management (FSM), New Delhi, as part of its annual fest Genesis. And we at Swavalamban Avam Swabhimaan Foundation (SAS Foundation) were thrilled to be part of this incredible celebration of youth-driven social innovation.

We are proud to share that our Joint Secretary, Ms. Jyotsana Sinha, was invited as a jury member for this dynamic competition. Her presence at PRERNA ’24 represents our Foundation’s ongoing commitment to fostering youth leadership, supporting CSR education, and nurturing a generation of changemakers ready to tackle the most pressing challenges of our time.

🎯 About PRERNA ’24: Ideas That Inspire Action

PRERNA ’24 was not just a competition — it was a platform that brought together visionaries from 13 prestigious colleges across India, all converging to showcase their innovative CSR models and ideas for social transformation. As part of FSM’s annual management and cultural fest, Genesis, the event drew immense energy and enthusiasm from participants and spectators alike.

The goal? To reimagine Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in ways that go beyond compliance and truly deliver impact.

From environment-focused interventions and digital inclusion to women empowerment and sustainable livelihood projects, each case study presentation highlighted a unique blend of strategy, social sensitivity, and executional feasibility.

👩‍⚖️ SAS Foundation at the Forefront

Being selected as a judge at PRERNA ’24 was a moment of pride and purpose for SAS Foundation. Ms. Jyotsana Sinha, with her rich experience in social development and grassroots initiatives, brought a holistic lens to the judging panel, emphasizing:

  • The practical viability of student ideas,
  • Their long-term social impact, and
  • The sustainability of proposed interventions.

In her words:

“The passion, research, and realism these young minds demonstrated were exceptional. Every presentation was a window into a future where youth aren’t just spectators of social change — they are its architects.”

Alongside Ms. Sinha, the panel included other distinguished personalities such as Ms. Ajeeta Singh (Helpage India) and Mr. Asim Khan (Cadence Design Systems) — experts who enriched the session with their insights, encouragement, and deep CSR expertise.

🏆 Recognizing the Changemakers

While each team brought something valuable to the table, PRERNA ’24 recognized the top three CSR teams whose ideas stood out for their innovation, practicality, and clarity of impact:

🥇 Team EnactusSri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, New Delhi
A dynamic group with a well-researched proposal focusing on sustainable entrepreneurship and community empowerment. Their presentation set a high bar for innovation aligned with UN SDGs.

🥈 Team AgniSymbiosis Institute of International Business, Pune
Team Agni impressed the jury with a bold concept combining climate action with corporate accountability. Their model for community-driven green tech adoption was both scalable and thoughtful.

🥉 Team ChangemakersFORE School of Management, New Delhi
The home team presented a powerful, locally anchored project that blended financial inclusion with digital education for underprivileged youth.

Each of these teams demonstrated that the future of CSR is collaborative, inclusive, and innovation-driven.

🙌 Applauding the Organizers

A special shoutout to Team Antar at FSM — namely Palak Khattar, Anushka Pandey, Preeti Singh, and Sparsh Jain — for their seamless execution and tireless enthusiasm. Their commitment to student engagement and their understanding of CSR as a transformative tool for society were evident in every detail of the event.

Their meticulous planning ensured that:

  • Every team had the resources and stage to shine
  • Judges had access to structured evaluation material
  • Participants received constructive feedback and networking opportunities

This wasn’t just an event — it was a learning experience and a celebration of responsible leadership.

💬 Reflections on CSR and Youth

At SAS Foundation, we believe that CSR is not just a corporate obligation but a powerful vehicle for inclusive growth. By involving students and academic institutions in CSR discourse, we are:

  • Building awareness of real-world problems
  • Encouraging analytical thinking around societal issues
  • Empowering youth to take ownership of community development

Events like PRERNA ’24 validate our belief that today’s youth are ready to innovate for impact. Whether it’s designing eco-friendly solutions, empowering marginalized groups, or proposing digital access strategies, these young leaders are infusing CSR with creativity and empathy.

🔗 The Bigger Picture: SAS Foundation’s Vision

Participation in platforms like PRERNA ’24 aligns perfectly with our Foundation’s core mission to:

  • Promote education and awareness on sustainability and equity
  • Encourage youth participation in social problem-solving
  • Strengthen community–institution linkages for shared learning
  • Advocate for responsible corporate practices

Through collaborations, mentorship, and real-world exposure, we hope to create a ripple effect of youth-led change.

We aim to continue engaging with academic institutions, CSR practitioners, and young leaders, amplifying our reach and creating opportunities for meaningful partnerships across the country.

🌟 The Way Forward: Inspire. Innovate. Impact.

As we look back on PRERNA ’24, we’re filled with optimism and gratitude. The ideas presented, the passion witnessed, and the dialogue facilitated all point toward a future of ethical leadership, purposeful business, and grassroots innovation.

The CSR space is evolving — and these student-led case studies are proof that the next generation is already thinking ahead, ready to bring fresh perspectives to the table.

At SAS Foundation, we reaffirm our commitment to support such platforms, empower more students, and continue building bridges between the social and corporate sectors.
