Swavalamban Avam Swabhimaan Foundation (SAS Foundation) is proud to welcome Ms. Manalika Tiwari as a Social Intern to our ever-growing team of change-makers! With her deep-rooted passion for environmental sustainability and a strong academic background, Manalika embodies the spirit of youth-driven social impact. Her arrival not only strengthens our mission but also adds fresh perspective and energy to our initiatives in the fields of environmental awareness, education, and community empowerment.
A Journey Rooted in Environmental Awareness
Hailing from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, Ms. Tiwari has long been interested in ecological issues and solutions. She completed her Post-Graduation in Environmental Sciences from the prestigious Gorakhpur University, where she developed a strong foundation in environmental policy, conservation practices, waste management systems, and sustainability models.
Her academic training has given her both a scientific understanding and an ethical perspective on the environment. From studying the effects of industrial pollutants on biodiversity to the socio-economic impact of climate change, Manalika’s journey in academics has helped her understand the intricate connections between people and the planet.
Currently pursuing her Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) at Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), she is actively merging her scientific knowledge with real-world business and policy insights. Her current focus is on sustainable business practices, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) frameworks, and corporate social responsibility — all highly relevant to our mission at SAS Foundation.
Passion Meets Purpose
What truly stands out about Manalika is her unwavering commitment to causes larger than herself. Her interest in sustainability and green organizations isn’t just academic — it’s deeply personal. She believes in walking the talk, whether by advocating for plastic-free living, supporting eco-conscious brands, or volunteering for clean-up drives in her hometown.
In her own words, she says:
“We can no longer afford to treat environmental challenges as someone else’s problem. Climate change, pollution, biodiversity loss — these are real issues affecting real lives, and I want to be part of the solution.”
This proactive, solution-oriented mindset is what makes her a valuable addition to the SAS Foundation family.
Learning, Growing, and Giving Back
At SAS Foundation, we believe in nurturing not just talent, but intentional changemakers who carry within them a genuine desire to learn, grow, and give back to society. Manalika aligns beautifully with this vision.
She brings with her:
A willingness to learn from people, projects, and communities.
A growth mindset that embraces feedback and uses challenges as learning opportunities.
A team-first attitude that emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and integrity.
A research-oriented approach to finding practical, evidence-backed solutions to environmental and social issues.
Her versatility allows her to contribute across domains — from assisting with e-waste collection drives, sustainability education sessions, and impact reporting, to content creation, data analysis, and event coordination.
As part of her internship, Manalika will be involved in some of our flagship campaigns, such as:
Green Future Campaign – focusing on waste management, clean energy advocacy, and community-level sustainability practices.
Eco-Ed Awareness Drives – creating awareness in schools and colleges about recycling, climate action, and responsible consumption.
SDG Monitoring & Reporting – helping us track and assess progress aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Youth Empowerment Initiatives – connecting with other young leaders and building dialogue around climate change, skill development, and sustainability leadership.
A New Chapter Begins
The inclusion of interns like Manalika is a testament to how academia and grassroots development can come together to build meaningful impact. With growing global concern around sustainability, youth-led action is no longer a choice — it is a necessity.
We’re excited to see how Manalika’s talents, values, and curiosity will flourish in this dynamic environment. Through hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real-world challenges, we’re confident she will evolve not only as an environmental professional but also as a compassionate leader.
Her internship also reflects our ongoing commitment to offering experiential learning opportunities for students and early-career professionals who want to be part of social change. In this ecosystem of shared growth and collective action, we see our future leaders emerge — one initiative at a time.
