Celebrating Impact: Inspiring Video Testimonials from SAS Foundation Interns,
We are thrilled to present a powerful collection of video testimonials from the incredible young minds who recently participated in the internship programs of Swavalamban Avam Swabhimaan Foundation (SAS Foundation). These stories are not just about internships—they are a celebration of growth, purpose, learning, and transformation. From tackling environmental challenges to contributing to the digital world, our interns have shown remarkable enthusiasm, innovation, and leadership throughout their journeys. Their voices reflect the strength of our mission: to empower, educate, and elevate youth across India.
The SAS Foundation Internship Program is designed to create a unique platform for youth to experience community-driven development while sharpening their professional skills. From the Green Champion Internship, focused on sustainability and e-waste awareness, to the IT Internship, which enables participants to build and manage websites, our programs serve as a catalyst for personal and professional growth. Each intern brought unique perspectives and aspirations—and what they left with were enriched experiences, new skills, and a deeper understanding of how they can contribute to society.
One of the most impactful aspects of the internship was its hands-on, field-based approach. Rather than learning in isolation, our interns engaged with real-life problems and collaborated with the community to co-create solutions. In the Green Champion Internship, participants worked on e-waste collection campaigns, conducted awareness sessions in schools and colleges, and assisted in crafting digital media to promote eco-friendly behaviors. Their voices echo the urgency of sustainability and the importance of responsible waste disposal. “I never imagined I could create awareness and bring change at such a scale,” said one intern. “It taught me the power of action, no matter how small.”
In the IT Internship, interns dived into the world of digital tools and website development. Guided by skilled mentors and real project assignments, they learned how to manage online platforms, build pages using WordPress, optimize content for accessibility, and contribute to SAS Foundation’s digital outreach. Many of them came with basic knowledge but left with enhanced technical confidence and a real project to add to their portfolio. “I used to fear coding,” shared one IT intern. “But after this experience, I feel empowered to pursue web development seriously.”
What makes these testimonials truly special is the emotion and conviction behind every word. The videos feature young people who started their internships with curiosity and ended them with purpose. They speak of the confidence they gained, the teamwork they experienced, and the leaders they are becoming. Some learned how to speak in public; others discovered their knack for writing or design. Most importantly, they all realized that their contributions matter—and that they are not too young to make a difference.
These internships also emphasized the importance of soft skills development. Interns improved their communication, time management, project planning, research abilities, and digital storytelling. They got the opportunity to interact with mentors, educators, and community members, learning to work across disciplines and collaborate effectively. Many interns have already started applying these skills in their college projects, personal blogs, and future goals. The SAS Foundation is proud to be a launchpad for such promising futures.
The internship experience was further enriched by active mentorship from our leadership team, including Dr. Nitin Saini, Gaurav Agarwal, CSM, Jyotsana Sinha, and Dr. Jyoti Dongre Rao. Their guidance and constant encouragement played a vital role in shaping the experience of each intern. The interns not only learned from tasks but also gained valuable life lessons from inspiring professionals who believe in the power of youth-led change.
We also express our sincere thanks to our educational partners such as BGS International Public School – India, whose students and educators contributed enthusiastically to the program. Such collaborations between schools and NGOs strengthen the foundation of community-driven education, inspire leadership, and encourage civic engagement among young learners.
Throughout the internship, interns were given the freedom to explore, experiment, and innovate. Whether they were designing e-posters for e-waste awareness, scripting educational reels, organizing local clean-up drives, or curating blogs on sustainability, their ideas were encouraged and implemented. The result? A vibrant internship experience where every day brought a new opportunity to learn and lead.
This initiative is not just a program—it is part of SAS Foundation’s long-term vision of building a society where every youth feels empowered to be a changemaker. We believe that exposure, mentorship, and engagement with social issues can unlock creativity and leadership in extraordinary ways. By involving interns in real projects, we aim to inspire a lifelong commitment to community and cause.
Our heartfelt congratulations go out to all our interns for their commitment, growth, and contribution. Their feedback has not only made us proud but also inspired us to scale this initiative further. We are currently working on launching new internship cycles with added features like certification, in-depth skill workshops, and collaborative projects with community stakeholders.
We invite students, young professionals, educators, and corporate partners to connect with us and be part of our journey. Whether you’re interested in supporting our cause, mentoring future interns, or learning how to create sustainable impact—there’s a place for everyone in our mission.
As we move ahead, we remain committed to nurturing leadership, inclusivity, sustainability, and social responsibility among the next generation. These inspiring video testimonials are just the beginning of many powerful stories that reflect youth empowerment in action.
