On 28th September 2025, SAS Foundation marked a meaningful milestone—its 24th e-waste collection drive in India and 10th in Dwarka. Hosted at Shubham Apartments, Sector 22, this initiative reaffirmed our belief that sustainability begins in our homes and neighborhoods.
In collaboration with Shubham Apartments RWA and under the leadership of Mr. Anup Kumar (President, RWA), the drive collected an impressive ~73 Kgs of e-waste. This included 8 smartphones, 4 laptops, 2 feature phones, 2 printers, 2 fans, and 42 Kgs of miscellaneous electronic items.
But beyond the numbers lies the true story—a community coming together to take ownership of its environmental impact. When residents responsibly part with devices that once powered their lives, they are not just discarding; they are making a conscious choice for the planet’s future.
We extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nitin Saini and Gaurav Agarwal for representing SAS Foundation, and to Arjun Tiwari from Attero for his committed partnership. Together, they demonstrated how collaboration between RWAs, NGOs, and recycling partners can drive real change.
💡 Why does this matter?
E-waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams globally, with hazardous consequences if left unmanaged. Every laptop, smartphone, or printer recycled reduces pressure on landfills, prevents toxic leaks into soil and water, and reintroduces valuable materials into the circular economy. In essence, each drive is not just waste collection—it is an investment in the sustainability of tomorrow.
The Path Forward
Our journey does not end with 24 drives—it strengthens with each one. As more communities embrace e-waste drives, we are building not just a cleaner environment, but also a culture of responsible consumption and collective accountability.
🌍 The call to action is simple yet powerful:
If you are a Resident Welfare Association, housing society, or institution, join hands with SAS Foundation to host an e-waste collection drive in your community. Together, we can turn discarded devices into a force for positive environmental change.
