Mission e-cycle Expands to Shubham Apartments, Dwarka: A Step Toward Responsible e-Waste Management
As technology becomes an inseparable part of modern life, our consumption of electronic devices continues to grow. With this growth comes an often-ignored responsibility—the ethical and sustainable disposal of e-waste. Small electronics like chargers, earphones, batteries, LED lights, remotes, and switches rarely feel “big enough” to recycle, and often end up in dustbins, eventually reaching landfills.
But what if responsible recycling became simple, accessible, and habit-forming?
With that belief, SAS Foundation, under Project Mission e-cycle, has taken another step forward.
📍 A New e-Waste Collection Box Installed at Shubham Apartments, Sector-22, Dwarka
We are delighted to share that an e-waste drop-off box has now been placed in Shubham Apartments, Sector-22, Dwarka. The Residents Welfare Association (RWA) is supporting the initiative by sending an informative flyer to every household—encouraging residents to rethink how they discard small electronics.
This collaboration is a powerful example of how community leadership and environmental responsibility can work hand in hand.
♻️ Why Small e-Waste Matters
Small electronic waste often slips through the cracks of mainstream recycling systems. Items like:
- Battery cells
- Charging cables and USB wires
- Broken earphones or AirPods
- Diwali/LED string lights
- Damaged remotes
- Electrical switches
- Small electronic accessories
may seem insignificant, but collectively they contain hazardous materials such as lead, lithium, mercury, and cadmium. When discarded with regular waste, they contribute to:
🔸 Soil contamination
🔸 Air pollution while burning waste
🔸 Groundwater toxicity
🔸 Harm to biodiversity and human health
By offering a simple drop-point inside the housing society, Mission e-cycle makes sustainable disposal convenient and practical.
🚫 What Not to Put in the Box
Residents are requested not to drop large or valuable items such as:
- Laptops
- Mobile phones
- Printers
- Home appliances
For such items, responsible pickup is available.
📩 To schedule a pickup, residents simply have to send a WhatsApp message to: 9654709935.
👥 A Movement Rooted in Community Action
